Siouxsie/P.I.L. Guitarist Dies

"NEW WAVE GUITARIST PASSES: Noted U.K. guitarist John McGeogh, who played for such U.K. punk bands as Magazine and Siouxsie & the Banshees, died in his sleep last week at his W. London home at the age of 48. Cause of death has not been determined. The Scottish guitarist played with Magazine from 1977-’80 and with the Banshees from ’80-82. He also recorded with PiL from 1986-’92. He lived in L.A. from ’86 until the mid-’90s, then returned to the U.K. He quit the music business shortly afterward and trained as a nurse, which he became qualified to be in ’95. He was most recently working on music for a TV documentary for Britain’s Channel 5 at the time of his death. (3/10p)"
